Sometime in the early aughts (2001–2002), a group of borderline delinquents gathered their musical capabilities and decided to create art together. We called ourselves “The Tiddies” (a reference to the actual songbird and obviously a double entendre). With budget condenser microphones and a whole lot of nerve, we recorded and released “The Long EP.” Long out of print unless you have that burned CD with a paper label.

We continued on and got tighter or looser depending on the day or night. We played Philadelphia’s underground scene and even opened for Caustic Resin. Great times oft not remembered.

In 2005, we created our first actual release, self titled The TiDDies. Recorded by Brockleigh at InTheory Studios Warminster and mastered by Dave Nachodsky at Invisible Sound Studios. Available on your favorite DSPs. We aren’t really sure if it was real.

FFWD to 2025. We had a whole set and more of music we never properly recorded. It would be a shame to let it disappear from existence, as we all do. We invested in proper in-house recording equipment. It took about a year and a half of Monday and Wednesday nights (24-7 for Master Producer Mr. Jason Robinson).

We dissected the songs. Orchestrated them. Re-imagined them while keeping the truth of it. The music matured, and so did we. Relevant, related and similar. Songbird Syndicate was born.

We made Sing Sad Songs. Mastered by Alan “The East Coast King” Douches at West West Side Music New York. We released our work on September 23, 2026, and we like it. We hope you do too.
